Fog engulfs Delhi, disrupts rail and air traffic

DELHI: Foggy conditions hit operations at the Indira Gandhi
International Airport and delayed several Delhi-bound
trains.
As many as five domestic and four international flights were affected. One Delhi-Hyderabad flight was cancelled on Sunday.
At least 54 Delhi-bound trains were running behind schedule, 12 were rescheduled, while 11 were cancelled due to poor visibility.
Even on Saturday, at least 80 Delhi-bound trains were running behind schedule by two to four hours. Twelve trains were cancelled due to foggy weather conditions in the northern region. Patna Rajdhani Express was among the 12 trains cancelled.
On Saturday, as many as 38 domestic and international flights were affected, of which 13 were cancelled, according to the Delhi airport website.

The minimum temperature on Saturday morning settled at 12.3 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was recorded at 87 per cent at 8.30 AM. The MeT has predicted that the maximum temperature will hover around 24 degrees Celsius.
